it's fun typing "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" into facebook.com and finding only 9 people (including me) out of the entire univeristy-linkage system rate it as a 'favourite book'. blinkered. try typing in "soulfly" or "dennis pennis" or "harry hill" too.

i like this book so much it has turned my eyes gammy
i also can't believe that i'm one of only 3 people in universities across the country to classify "Cyrano de Bergerac" as one of my favourite films. It's a (tear inducing, cf tarka the otter) classic
funny i was talking to someone the other day whom i'd never met before. she recommended zen and the art "Out of the Blue", as it were.
buy it and read it in america, you won't regret it. would be apt since it's a philosophical novel written in the context of one man travelling across america on a motorbike with his son and two friends. apt. i can't think of a better time to read it. fate
chelmsford bookshops do not stock such an item!
