Robert M Pirsig

Robert M Pirsig
This is a call for all you philosophers, and others, to go out and discover the work of Mr Pirsig, author of Zen and The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance, as soon as possible. I was recommended this book a while ago, took a while to get round to reading it, did 3 summers ago, and it = amazing. Hate to sound cliched and say "it changed my life" but it did have some sort of massive eye-opening effect on me. Please, those of you who haven't read it (I'm thinking here of Rob, and Oli (??)) and have studied/are studying philosophy, go read this. You'll cry.

not either or. sophie's world is accessible for younger readers and older, whereas Zen is primarily for older readers preferably with a background in philosophy. you should definitely read it
